Your privacy matters to us.

TheKidsCompass is a community platform for families in Dubai, UAE. Parents use it to find tutors, coaches and activity organisers, to recommend people they know and trust on our community recommendations board, and to coordinate in groups — playdates, meetups, carpools and more. When we say 'we', 'us', or 'TheKidsCompass', we mean the platform and its operators.

We collect only what we need to run the platform — and what we need depends on what you do:

• →Browsing and searching — nothing. You don't need an account to browse listings or the recommendations board, and we don't collect personal data while you do. We use anonymous analytics to understand which pages are visited and which searches are made.
• →Listing a service (tutors, coaches and activity organisers) — your name, a short bio, your contact email, WhatsApp number and a photo, if you choose to add one. This is what creates your public profile.
• →Recommending someone — your name and optionally your email (so we can let you know when they join), plus the recommended person's name, what they do, their area, your description of them and their contact details. Their contact info is stored so we can invite them to claim their profile — it is never shown publicly on the recommendation.
• →Joining a group or using group chat — your name, and optionally your WhatsApp number and email. These are shared with the members of that group only, never publicly.
• →Signing in with Google — your name and email address, shared with us by Google when you sign in. We use it to identify your account and nothing else.

• →To show listings and recommendations from parents in your area
• →To run the groups feature — coordinating joins and powering each group's chat
• →To invite recommended tutors, coaches and organisers to claim their own profile
• →To respond to your messages and provide platform support
• →To improve the platform based on how it's used
• →To send platform updates if you've opted in — you can unsubscribe at any time

Listings, recommendations and groups are public by design — that's how parents find each other. If you list your service, your contact details appear on your public profile, because that's how parents reach you.

Everything else stays private. A recommendation's contact info is never displayed publicly — it's used only to invite the person recommended. Your name on a recommendation is shown, but your email isn't. And group members' contact details are shared only within their group, never on any public page.

We use Google to sign you in, so you never create a password with us. When you sign in, Google shares only your name and email address with us. We can't see your Google password, your files, your photos or anything else in your Google account — and we don't want to.

We use standard analytics tools to understand how the platform is used. This may include cookies that track page visits and feature usage. We do not use tracking cookies for advertising purposes.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time. Some platform features may not work as expected without them.

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. To make a request, email us at hello@thekidscompass.com and we'll respond within 5 business days.

We may update this policy as the platform grows. When we make significant changes, we'll notify registered parents by email. The 'last updated' date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent version.
